Tama Art University in Japan is set to host its third Think With Pokemon: Art & Environment Education exhibit, showcasing an innovative approach to art using recycled paper. The exhibit, scheduled from March 27 to April 6, 2025, offers a unique platform for students to display their creativity through Pokemon Upcycle Sculptures. These sculptures, such as an Ogerpon made from nets, game cassettes, and tubes, and a Zorua crafted from potholders and clothespins, highlight the students’ ingenuity in utilizing everyday materials.
The university, known for its commitment to sustainability, aims to promote eco-friendly practices through art. With over 70 Pokemon species on display, the exhibition not only celebrates imagination and craftsmanship but also educates visitors on the importance of environmental design. As part of the event, Tama Art University will conduct workshops on March 29 and April 6, 2025, where children and parents can create their own Poke Balls using recycled paper and cardboard.
By encouraging participants to explore the intersection of art and environmental consciousness, the Think With Pokemon exhibit seeks to inspire a new generation of artists and advocates for sustainable practices.
